Meat and Potatoes

Sometimes I am a complicated man. I spout off nonsense at rapid-fire (especially if I like you) and get into all sorts of metaphysical thoughts and ideas. I’ll rant about how black holes are just moving along a 4th dimension. I’ll go on and on about how everybody is in their own sphere of information and nobody knows the true objective reality. I’ll rant about laws and theorems and ideas and be so utterly confusing that you have no idea what the hell I’m talking about.

And then.

I’ll sit down with my meat and potatoes and be a quiet little boy. I love my meats and I love my potatoes.

They make me happy.

Will F. Kay’s Meat and Potatoes Recipe

Get some meat (in this case, chicken). Cut into pieces. Put aside. Get a blend of seasonings. I recommend at the very least 1 part salt, 2 parts black pepper. Blend thoroughly and dry rub it into the meat. You can experiment with the seasonings.

Get potatoes, cut them into pieces.

Put a pan on the heat, go for a medium heat, maybe a little less than medium. Put a little oil in it and coat the pan. Don’t put too much to where it drowns whatever you put in it. Just enough to do a little action.

Fry the potatoes for about 5-10 minutes, moving the pan every so often to flip and jostle the potatoes. Don’t cook all the way. Set the potatoes aside on parchment paper and start cooking the raw meat.

Once the meat is mostly cooked, re-add the potatoes and cook all together until cooked to your liking. At this point, use a fork to take a piece of meat or potato to ensure it is seasoned to your liking. If it is missing something, add it now.

Once you feel you are done, set the food on a plate and chow down.

Meat and potatoes!
